To get the most out of your African safari, you need to book with someone who has the expertise and knowledge necessary to help you choose the right countries, parks and cultural experiences to include in your itinerary.

For example, if you want a chance to view the Great Migration, you'll want your trip to include Kenya or Tanzania. On the other hand, if you've always wanted to spend time with wild gorillas, you'll need to head to Rwanda or Uganda. Are you searching for a high-end luxury resort to stay in or would you prefer a tented experience? Most people heading to Africa have a slew of questions they need answered before they can even narrow down which country to choose for their safari. So that is why you want to book your adventure with a consultant --like myself -- who has traveled to this continent many times.

In fact, like the wildebeest and zebra in Tanzania and Kenya, I have my own annual migration. I head to Africa every year to enjoy safari experiences in different countries and have now been to this amazing continent approximately 30 times. While traveling, I always keep detailed journals of all of my different trips, which I gladly share with my clients. Many have even booked the exact same trip as mine after reading one of these journals.

Because I have a real passion for helping my clients to discover Africa, I want them to experience all that it has to offer -- of being in the midst of wild creatures and perhaps even visiting the area known as the cradle of humankind. I have been in the travel business for more than 18 years and I absolutely love what I do. It never feels like work to make my clients happy, and I will be there for you from the minute we start working together until after your safe return home from your getaway. I also only work with tried and true country suppliers who are bonded and insured and who give back to the locals. My clients appreciate the excellent customer service I provide, and so I have been blessed with many repeat customers.

In addition to my travels to Africa, I have also earned numerous certifications, including the following:

PTA Travel Agent University for Africa 2004
APTA specialist for the promotion of Travel to Africa 2010
South Africa Fundi Tourism Expert Specialist 2013
Kenya Kats Specialist 2004
And while I specialize in private, customized trips, I also help clients to book group tours, if that is their preference. I also love booking cruises and trips for my clients to many different destinations besides Africa, including countries in Europe and in Asia.

So contact me if you're ready to book that experience of a lifetime! Life is too short to keep putting your dreams aside.

I left my heart in Africa

We have returned from our second trip to South Africa booked with Connie.
Can't say enough about her wonderful!!!!! insight into the most beautiful land in the world. We have traveled many many places but Africa wraps it's heart around your soul.
We stayed at three camps and each had it's wonderful experiences
Makanyi was our favorite...dragged away from dinner to see a pride of lions have their own dinner in the dark....I now know what an adrenaline rush really is!.
We want to redecorate our home to match the amazing décor of the rooms and lodge of Makayni !!!
On to Phinda Vlei, an And Beyond Camp (highly recommended) they are amazing. We were by our little plunge pool when we had to jump on the bed to get out of the way of 2 elephants and impala deciding it was a good place to have a drink. MINDBLOWING.
We also went into a Zulu community and learned of the efforts that the camps take not only to preserve the wildlife but also the surrounding communities.

We have now worked with Connie on several vacations, all of them wonderful. A few years ago, when looking for a package safari tour to Africa, her name appeared in multiple favorable online reviews, so I gave her a call. Her knowledge of Africa is unbeatable, and the private itinerary she planned for us there (South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana) ranks as our favorite of all time. She has also sent us to Turkey, the Azores, and most recently Churchill (Manitoba, Canada), all amazing. We have recommended her to several friends, all of whom have also been delighted with their trips to places like Africa, India and France that Connie has arranged. She is an absolute sweetheart to deal with. Tell her Skip sent you!

Connie planned a trip to South Africa for a friend and I a few years ago. When we decided to take another trip to Africa Connie was the first person we turned to. This past August 4 of us traveled together to Kenya and Tanzania. The camps were friendly and fun; the guides were beyond compare. All our guides were expert at finding wildlife and gave us sightings of all of the Big Five and treated us to 3 crossings of the Wildebeest! All our needs and desires were met and with not one hitch in our travels. Thank you Connie!

My dad and I just returned from 13 days in South Africa... from Cape Town (Table Mountain, Boulder's Beach penguins, Cape Point, Great White cage diving at Seal Isand with Apex Shark Expeditions/ Chris Fallows) to Ngala Safari Lodge in the Timbavati reserve to Exeter River Lodge and Londolozi Varty Camp in the Sabi Sand reserve.I would highly recommend Connie to any one of my friends or family who might be planning a trip. She was kind, prompt, professional, and made our trip and all flights, transfers, excursions and activities seamless and painless. I couldn't imagine a more wonderful trip for my dad and I-it was his 72nd birthday trip and my 50th and was at the top of both our bucket lists-- I am thankful we trusted such a momentous occasion to Connie and Ebright travel. Thank You Connie !!

Wonderful trip to S. Africa

Just a quick note to let you know we arrived without incident. The D'Oreale Grande was great... we had a lovely dinner there. Arrived safely at Londolozi Tree camp which is fantastic! Our ranger, Nick, is amazing. On our first drive tonight we saw hippos, elephants (including babies), giraffes (including baby), 2 male lions and a lioness with 2 6 week old cubs, plus numerous antelopes, a Nile crocodile.... The list goes on! We are amazed! Another quick note to say we all LOVED our trip! We have settled in at the Westin in Cape Town. I wanted to let you know that all our accommodations were spectacular and we are so happy with how everything turned out. Londolozi was fantastic and I think it should be added to your regular list. If it isn't as fancy as Singita, I can't imagine what they offer since we were catered to in every possible way. I was a bit worried that Ngala tented camp would feel inferior but in no way did that happen. The tents were delightful, the staff amazing and the food delicious and plentiful. Our butler, David, even met us in the bush on the first morning with an incredible "pre-breakfast" of crepes with carmelized bananas, whipped cream and chocolate sauce along with coffee, champagne and mimosas-divine! All transfers went smoothly. Our lodge hops were both on time and very professional and fun. We enjoyed our night and day in Franschhoek. Leeu House was beautiful and should also make the top of your list. It is a gorgeous place with friendly and helpful staff (especially Calvin) Dinner at La Motte was delicious, if a bit slow, mostly due to our server who was lovely but not speedy. Our tour guide from Paradise tours was very nice. He was informative about the history of S. Africa which we enjoyed but it took a couple of requests to get him to take us to Delaire Graff (recommended by another guest in the bush) which was gorgeous! It was a lovely warm day and the views were amazing. It all turned out so well we are all very happy! Thanks!
Fabulous Kenya Photo Safari

Our Kenya trip was fabulous and beyond our expectations. Connie Ebright and Ebright Travel did a fabulous job of arranging our trip through Hemmingway's and keeping us informed with travel information and tips during the 9 months prior to our travel. The Hemmingway's folks were very efficient and accommodating. We visited three camps and each had a lot to offer and all had very knowledgeable, friendly guides who went out of their way to show us a wide variety of animals and birds. We liked Tortilis (in Amboselli) and as our first camp and it was a good introduction to the animals. Juma our guide there was also very knowledgeable and really made an effort to show us all the animals. He arranged a visit to a Maasai village and a school was very interesting and we spent most of the morning there. Joy's Camp manager George and Teresa were very warm and welcoming. We were the only people in camp and felt like we were on an exclusive safari. George was very chatty and accepted our invitation to join us for dinner the last night. A great conversation. Mohammed, our guide was probably our favorite. Food was excellent as well. Ol Seki Mara camp was also top notch. James, the manager there joined us for all meals and we kept him talking with questions that extended beyond the animals in the park to Kenya and its people and government in general. A great way to get to know the country. He set the tone for the staff who were also very friendly and got to know our preferences in short order. Tom has always said that seeing the great migration in person was right at the top of his bucket list and now he can check that one off. It was an incredible experience. The balloon ride although short was very exciting. Connie, thank you so much for arranging literally our trip of a lifetime. Tom and I always said that our Antarctica trip was the best we've ever taken followed by Galapagos and Manchu Picchu, but Kenya has definitely edged them out for the number one spot!

“The test of the most outstanding vacation one can hope to enjoy in life is how often you recall so many incredible experiences long after you’ve returned home as if they had just happened yesterday. From the things you didn’t expect to experience, to friendships made along the way and the many, many small details that are planned for you that you’re not aware of until you got there. My wife and I have traveled to many special places throughout the world and our trip to East Africa that Connie planned and coordinated for us was without question that very experience. Connie not only planned this incredible trip, but she made a point to remain in contact with those responsible for our itineraries from day to day to ensuring every detail was perfect. There were even a few wonderful surprises along the way. We cannot recommend a better individual to plan your first and many trips to that magical continent.” Tim and Darolyn Kares
Dear Connie, WOW! We had a great time. Can't rave enough about the treatment we got from And Beyond and every transfer took place without a problem. The game drives were so exciting. We never got tired of experiencing the thrill of searching for the big 5. Sometimes they just appeared in front of us! The most amazing part for me was what we experienced after hearing that the lions had taken down a cape buffalo. We were riding thru the herd which was probably over 500 and got to the place where one female lion was feeding on the kill. A few buffalo moved in and scared her away and then the buffalo moved in and surrounded the kill. They were hugging and kissing their lost one and prodding it to get up. It was like watching a wake. The ranger told us that this is the type of video National Geographic people wish they had the chance to film. I told Mike several times that these were some of the best days of my life. We are already hatching a plan to save for another trip back to Africa! Can't thank you enough! Gerri

We just got back a couple hours ago from our trip to Ecuador. Everyone is well, and all the trips, transfers, and hotel arrangements went off without a hitch. We really enjoyed the Hacienda La Jamenita on the way and on the return – convenient to Quito airport but also really fun with hiking trails and feeding the llamas, with beautiful grounds and a welcoming family atmosphere. Saw lots of animals and plant life in the Galapagos, both hiking and swimming/snorkeling. The El Chato Giant Turtle Farm on Santa Cruz was a highlight, as were a couple of the day trips like snorkeling with sharks, and the Bartholome hike and snorkeling. Many sea lions and birds close ups too. The itinerary was good, and we’re glad we did it.

Connie assembled our perfect photo safari
Endorsed By: Our Safari in Tanzania - Alvin, TX
Tanzania Safari Everything was first rate. Connie at Ebright Travel walked us through all of the preliminary steps of prepping for our journey. She was constantly in touch with us, making sure that we felt at ease with our planning. Israel Mwanga the head of Naipenda in Arusha was also critical in getting our lost checked luggage to us five days into our safari. We can’t say enough about our guide, Shadrack. Knowledgeable, sociable and a very good safe driver thru the 1572 km we travelled together. Not only did he find the game we were seeking; he also found ways to get good photo angles. We recommend him highly. We stayed at Kibo Palace Hotel in Arusha, Kikoti Camp at Tarangire Park, Gibbs Farm, Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge, Mbalengeti lodge in the Western Serengeti and Bushtop Serengeti Camp located in he northern Serengeti. All facilities differed in their offering, but were first class in accommodations and the care of their guests. Our preferences were the “tented” camps. I use the term tented loosely as they greatly exceeded my preconceived notion of where we would be staying. Clean, safe and with minimal critters. All camps required we be accompanied by their armed personnel when going between our tent and the common area after dark. It was reassuring as some of the walks were quite lengthy. We even saw a savannah buffalo grazing on the other side of the rail just a few feet from where we were walking on our return from dinner at the Ngorongoro Sopa lodge. . We did not have a bad meal during our travels. They were, in fact, much better than we had anticipated. Breakfast buffets were common with fruit, dry cereals and eggs cooked to order. Coffee made with a French press was not uncommon. The eggs Florentine served at Bushtops was totally out of the realm of the ordinary. A box lunch was always served on the road at a stop in one of the parks. Food was plentiful and good, often ordered the night before (Mbalengeti and Bushtops).

I just returned from a 9 day safari in South Africa with a group of five family members. It was flawless! Our travel agent, Connie Ebright of Ebright Travel agency ( did a fantastic job in recommending an excellent itinerary for an excellent price. She has very strong safari connections in many parts of Africa and books safaris in several different counties of Africa. She did a wonderful job of organizing, communicating, checking on us during our safari and following-up. I highly recommended Connie. We were totally blown away by the custom safari we experienced. Two of our favorites, among several, were the two different &Beyond lodges. Both were amazing and very worthy of praise. The first was Kirkman's Kamp in the Sabi Sands reserve. The second was Ngala Tented camp on a private concession inside Kruger Park. The service was impeccable. The staffs' attention to our personal needs lacked nothing! Everything we needed was included and nothing we asked for was ever a problem. For example, I am a vegetarian and the chefs prepared special meals for me twice a day! As far as the game drives, they were also amazing. We saw virtually everything... lions, leopards, rhinos, cheetahs, elephants, hippos, zebras, giraffes, monkeys, antelopes, wild African dogs, cape buffaloes, and wildebeests, all in their incredible natural habitats engaged in their natural behaviors! The rangers and trackers were friendly and knowledgeable. They cared very much about our satisfaction. Our safari was spectacular! I highly encourage anyone who has an interest in Africa and her beautiful people and animals, to strongly consider an adventure such as this one. Joan H, Scottsdale, AZ
Amazing Migration Spectacle!

Viewing the migration of the wildebeest from either the Serengeti or the Maasi Mara was the impetus of a safari to Kenya & Tanzania. While there we wanted to see other National Parks as well as get an understanding of both countries. A custom safari was the only manner in which we could accomplish all that we wanted within the 2-weeks we had. Three companies were contacted. However, only Connie Ebright of Ebright Travel, Glendale, CA, promptly returned our call and indicated she could organize the intended safari. We gave her a skeleton itinerary and she in turn patiently yet quickly utilized her experience & knowledge to flesh out a comprehensive itinerary to meet our needs; Nairobi to Mt. Kenya, then the Masaai Mara; on to Arusha, through Lake Manyara & the Ngorongoro Crater to the Serengeti and ending in Zanzibar. A whirlwind of must sees. This extensive safari was planned & firmly put in place within an unbelievable 6 week period. Connie & Naipenda confirmed all accommodations at very reputable, comfortable hotels & tented camps (which exceeded our expectations), arranged flights and other internal travel arrangements as well providing us guides within both Kenya & Tanzania and so providing us a worry-free, seamless safari. At no point in the safari were we left to fend for ourselves. A guide was assigned to remain with us (from pick-up to departure) at the each of 3 phases of our safari. The guides provided (Nicholas & Paul in Kenya, Chris in Tanzania & Kassim in Zanzibar) were personable with extensive knowledge. They happily answered all our questions ranging from wildlife, geography, history, politics, and culture and even shared their personal lives. They were extremely flexible, quickly going out of their way to fulfill our requests, even with slight deviations from our original itinerary. We cannot sufficiently thank Connie Ebright, Naipenda Safaris as well as our guides for this all-encompassing, rewarding, 5-

And here we thought you were a wonderful person extolling the ventures of South Africa. We were wrong!!! You completely undersold yourself and Africa. Cape Town and the Mount Nelson Hotel were fantastic. Lucia our private tour guide for two days was a treasure. However that pales in comparison to our first day here in Camp Jabulani. I rode on Jabulani and Fred on Bubi and it was absolutely entrancing. When we went on our first game drive and we felt that we were 6 years old and it was Christmas time. Awe inspiring. Each camp was more exquisite then the previous one. We continue to talk all the time about the evening we spent in the Chakley Treehouse and the pure magic of sleeping under the Mikly Way. We are over the moon that you have also planned our 2016 adventure. Connie you are by far the best and we consider you a dear friend. Sincerely, Jacki

She got me to Australia, on a tour of the continent and on to my cruise ship without a hitch!. She was able to coordinate a very complicated land tour and cruise combo that did not lend itself to convenience. After the first cruise cancelled their route, Connie was able to rebook me on a different cruise line. Then the land tour changed dates which necessitated a complete revision of that portion of the trip. Connie connected me with a specialist who custom-designed a land tour to match my original plan. It was awesome and painless! I have worked with Connie in the past for an Africa trip and she made everything great!

I went to St Lucia!! We really had a great time. Not high end but nice big rooms, very clean, delicious food and all sports and activities right on site. 2 very beautiful beaches and great scuba diving according to Ryan and Kevin. Parts of the resort look a little tired and in need of some freshening but we were ok with it. All the guests were very nice and friendly. Very similar to Hamanasi in Belize but much bigger. Went to Jade Mtn above which was beautiful but it was ALL couples and no kids. Rooms were amazing at Jade. Maybe next time!
